Invisalign® is a system of clear, removable teeth aligners designed to help patients correct common orthodontic issues in a discreet way. Dr. Patrick T. Cuozzo, a New Jersey orthodontist, says Invisalign® has given many patients an advanced alternative to traditional metal braces, helping them achieve straighter teeth in a treatment that’s often said to be more comfortable. Dr. Cuozzo also notes that, while Invisalign® typically compares very favorably to braces and other orthodontic techniques in terms of cost, there are many factors that go into such a customized treatment and the overall price of the procedure will vary.

Invisalign® utilizes a series of custom-designed teeth aligners to improve teeth alignment and gradually move one’s teeth into a straighter position. The aligners are made of clear plastic, and are removable for eating, drinking, and daily oral hygiene routines. Dr. Cuozzo says Invisalign® teeth aligners are almost undetectable on the teeth, allowing patients to feel more confident about smiling while undergoing orthodontic treatment.

When it comes to the overall price of Invisalign®, Dr. Cuozzo says it’s largely dependent on the extent of teeth correction the patient needs and the length of time necessary for optimal results. While the average treatment time with Invisalign® is often about 9 to 15 months, some patients may need a longer or shorter period of treatment. Dr. Cuozzo notes that many dental insurance plans that cover orthodontic procedures include Invisalign® as a covered procedure. For those patients who aren’t covered, Dr. Cuozzo says his practice offers a number of different payment methods to give them the most convenient options possible.

Dr. Cuozzo says the best way for patients to determine the cost of Invisalign® is to have a comprehensive oral evaluation with an experienced orthodontist. Once Invisalign® is decided to be an ideal option for a patient’s needs, Dr. Cuozzo notes, a customized Invisalign® treatment plan will be created and the patient is provided with an overall cost estimate before the procedure begins. He says, for many people, Invisalign® has offered an effective and cost-comparable alternative to other orthodontic techniques – not to mention a more discreet and comfortable treatment process.
